Joseline Gonzalez, MA, LPC
Joseline is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults who have been impacted by trauma or who have an intellectual disability. Joseline received her masters degree in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
As a therapist, she has worked with a wide variety of populations as well as ages and has developed a specialization in working intellectual disabilities, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, ODD, and ADHD. She strives to create a safe and welcoming space for her clients to feel heard, acknowledged, and validated as well as help them learn about their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to meet each of their individual needs as a person.
As a therapist, Joseline uses a collaborative approach with her clients to help them gain a healthy understanding of themselves and build skills to manage the challenges and difficulties in life. Her work stems from using neurodivergent approaches as well as a variety of frameworks such as relational theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Joseline individualizes her approach to each new client and appreciates how each person is unique and needs treatment that is tailored to them.
